Port Navas Cottages & Holiday Homes

Rowing boats gently paddle along the water as swallows dip and dive around.

Cornish country cottages are dotted along the quayside of Port Navas Creek on the Helford, Cornwall. Rowing boats potter along the water. A family of swans gently paddle by the water’s edge. Holidays in Port Navas are nothing short of magic, especially during the regatta.

Set in a tranquil creek, Port Navas village is an unspoilt destination for those wanting a peaceful break in Cornwall. Life on the river means plenty of outdoor water activities. Launch your boat, kayak or paddleboard to explore the Helford River from its best angle, spotting the rich birdlife as you go. Explore the nearby footpaths surrounding the hamlet with our Port Navas Loop Walking Map. Walk forgotten farm tracks, and hidden valley woodland to the best view of Porthavas Creek. Enjoy drinks and an evening meal at the friendly Port Navas Yacht Club, a cosy waterside restaurant serving deliciously creative food. The restaurant is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, a popular spot in the summer so best to book a table.

This friendly village is nicely positioned to visit Trebah Gardens and other Helford things to do by car. Some of our most treasured walks are along the coastal path along the Helford River through woodland and past cosy pebble coves. Depending on what side of the river you find yourself on, take a well-earned rest at Ferry Boat Inn pub or The Shipwrights’s Arms on the Helford Passage for lunch. If you’re feeling adventurous try them both by jumping on a Helford River ferry

Delight in your romantic retreat or family adventure amongst woodland and water. Opportunities to explore the creeksides of the Helford River are abundant, from the famous Frenchmans Creek just across the river, to the quieter inlets of Polwheveral and Polpenwith. You’ll step back in time visiting the traditional Helford village with its waterfront boat houses and thatched roofs.

Excitement is never too far away from Port Navas, and your holiday cottage here will be within driving distance of the rugged clifftops of the Lizard Heritage Coast, Poldark filming spots and Falmouth’s excellent restaurants. So you can enjoy the best of both worlds on your holiday in Cornwall.

This is the place to be for a quiet country escape in Cornwall. See our collection of Port Navas cottages and self-catering holiday homes, and enjoy a peaceful stay in this beautiful corner of Cornwall.
