  The location of Calamansac is just wonderful. The wooded grounds and fantastic grounds takes you away from day to day issues. The dogs love the freedom. To hear the owl early in the morning light is a great start to the day and adventures ahead. West Wing is perfect for families or group of friends All mod cons and well furnished for a relaxing holiday. The log fire is available if necessary

  Lovely, stylish, clean. cosy and well equipped . If anything has changed since last time we stayed I think it was the fire proof doors which may have different handles which are set rather too close to the doors edge meaning that one bangs your hands! Otherwise we loved the games and space indoors for when we weren't enjoying the gorgeous grounds ,well kept gardens and viewing the many birds that visit .

That is correct, we have installed 8 new fire doors in the West Wing to meet the latest fire regulations for holiday accommodation.   Overall the house was very well equipped and had plenty of space. The location was very peaceful and we had a wonderful time. However there were a few things wrong that affected the experience: - only 1 short range Wi-Fi router was provided which would not reach across the whole house. - dishwasher cutlery basket had holes in that caused cutlery to fall through and jam drawer regularly - Rug in living room had no grip underneath and was a slipping hazard - drawers in kitchen were very stiff and in need of lubrication I very much look forward to returning assuming all of the above are fixed.

  Again, we've stayed at the East Wing before and so we knew exactly what to expect; plenty of space, comfortable beds with good linen and a kitchen stacked with everything you might possible need on a holiday. Great location offering wonderful views and star filled night skies. Great for a romantic break and also for the family. We managed both.

  The location is awesome, but West Wing feels a bit tired. The drying room doesnt work. The kitchen is fairly dated. the fridge door flaps about like a sail. The recycling bears no relation to what is collected in roadside deliveries

  I am sorry that you felt the West Wing a little tired. The owners actually upgraded various elements of the kitchen last winter, including installing some new units, a new sink, tap, granite work top, some new appliances and flooring. We will look at the fridge door and see what is going on there. Please always do call us if anything is not right, as we have a great team at Calamansac who will willingly rectify. Just so you know, the refuse and recycling for holiday homes, is dealt with on a commercial basis, so does not bear relation to kerbside collection for that reason. Many thanks for your feedback.   This property is in a beautiful spot in our favourite UK holiday location. Calamansac West Wing has a wonderful westerly aspect, and was ideal for us having the walk down to the west beach and walks along the Helford River edge through the trees. We kayaked on 3 days in October from the dinghy launch ramp in the estate which was ideal, and plus our labrador dog we walked all along the Lower Calamnsac river edge which we know well from previous holidays. As always, this area looking over to Frenchman's Creek is magical. We will be booking there again, hopefully next year.

  It is a brilliant house, carefully set up for large families to enjoy. The only thing that would be a plus, is if the drying room heater was working.
