Summary

* Back in the portfolio, we are delighted to relaunch Crosstrees, under the same ownership, 5 years since the last booking! Opening from 29th June 2024 *

Nestled high up in the peaks of the prestigious Packet Quays development in Falmouth, with the living area and both bedrooms overlooking the harbour, Crosstrees offers an idyllic view point for activity on the water. Until you visit this property it really is difficult to explain how enthralling the views are from the 39ft long balcony.

When morning comes, be sure to send someone to Stone’s Bakery for the best cinnamon rolls and almond croissants in town and enjoy them warm on your balcony, whilst taking in the hubbub of gentle marine life. After breakfast, grab your swimmers and take a meander through the town, picking up a lunchbox from Sabzi Deli, a coffee from Forty Five and perhaps a quick perusal of some of the town’s lovely homeware boutiques, independent gift and clothing shops. Make your way to one of the town’s beaches, Castle, Gyllyngvase or Swanpool and enjoy the translucent waters and beautiful coastal scenery. Swimming is optional, however as we say in Cornwall, no-one regrets a swim!

At night, you are spoilt for choice for places to eat, from the exceptional Michelin Green Star ‘Culture’ restaurant on Customs House Quay, to pizza places a plenty, with our favourite being ’Pizza Jockey’ at the bottom of the old High Street and the newly opened seafood restaurant ‘Hevva’, just closer to Crosstrees.

Under the same family ownership for over 15 years, Crosstrees, is tastefully and beautifully decorated internally, and made extra comfortable with gas central heating and double glazing. Both bedrooms have French doors onto the balcony, meaning you can enjoy the sea views from bed, morning coffee in hand. With one bathroom, a shower room and separate wc, the apartment can comfortably sleep two couples. The main bedroom has a 6ft super-king bed and the second, comfortable twin beds.

Location and Surrounding Area

Loading...

Experience the friendly, laid back vibe of Falmouth. With a thriving shipyard, super yacht community and university, this town has a wonderful mix of occupants, making it feel very ‘real’, all year round. The Cornish Bank is a great, in town, live music venue with a warm atmosphere and beer garden. Princess Pavillions holder larger music, theatre and community events, just between Castle and Gyllyngvase Beach and amidst the Gyllyngdune Gardens and beach shell cave.

You are spoilt for choice with excellent restaurants and cafes in Falmouth and the surrounds. We know this, as so often the ovens are not used at all, in our in town holiday homes! And why not, holidays are for relaxing and treating yourself.

Being so close to the water, you are likely want to get out on it, so hop on a passenger ferry to Flushing and walk around this pretty village, perhaps lingering to enjoy some lunch in The Royal Standard, or the newly opened Harbour House. Walk it off after, with a stroll along Millionaire’s row, to Kiln Quay and take a dip before heading back to Falmouth. Ferries run from 8.30am to 5pm.

From the Prince of Wales Pier, just down the hill from Crosstress you can take the ferry to St Mawes which is another great day out, exploring the Roseland and perhaps indulging in a meal at The Tresanton, or the Idle Rocks.

For the ultimate adventure, hire a paddleboard, or kayak from Gyllyngvase, Swanpool, or Maenporth and seek out your own cove for a picnic and memorable swim.
