  Entering the property from the road way is ok but the lights from the garage to the house weren’t working, had issues after dark. Also no handrail available when using steps.

  Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We’re sorry about the garage lights not working initially, but we're glad we could quickly resolve the issue during your stay to ensure your safety when moving between the garage and the house in the dark. Honeysuckle Cottage’s hillside setting does mean that the stairs are a little steep leading to the entrance of the house. We do highlight this in the property description as it can be a barrier for guests with accessibility concerns. Most of our guests find the stairs okay as there is a wall on the right hand side as you make your way up that a hand can be placed.   A very homely bungalow with a lovely new kitchen and bathroom and all the appliances you need. The garden is enclosed and very private. It is tucked away but within easy walking distance of the beach, town and up to the point overlooking the docks on the way. Everything was provided - so well equipped! Thank you

  Loved staying here, great location. The kitchen is fantastic. Stairs are a bit of a nightmare if you have a buggy. The bungalow could do with a few things being looked at here and there. The beds are very squeaky…the small loo smelt like cigarettes? The radiator in the double room was stuck on high with the dial broken. The vanity mirror light in the main bath room was broken and we didn’t realise we had to bring our own cot bedding but we managed with what I could find in the airing cupboard. The high chair that was provided has seen better days! The straps need a bleach!!! But theses are just little niggles. Over all lovely place to stay. Xxxx

We are so pleased that you enjoyed the location and found it to be a lovely place to stay, and appreciate your feedback regarding the niggles. We do mention on the property details that even though the accommodation is on one level the access steps make it unsuitable for elderly or those with mobility issues and we would include trying to navigate them with a buggy under this as well. We are unable to provide bed linen for cots due to individual baby needs and allergies. We are sorry to read that you were not aware of this so we are reviewing how this is communicated to our guests. We are grateful for you letting us know about the highchair and this will be passed back to our caretaker.It is a pleasure to read that you felt the kitchen was fantastic, the property owner has recently invested in this upgrade and they will be happy to know it has been well received, they are also committing to a number of additional property improvements at the house this coming year.   It’s in the perfect situation for beach, town & castle. Looking a little tired in places, (sofas) great new kitchen though. Spotlessly clean & very well equipped.

  We are delighted that you enjoy the central location for the beach and Falmouth town and the recently installed new kitchen at Honeysuckle Corner. The leather sofas are a personal choice of the owners, as they feel such furniture improves with age and they find the settees to be very comfortable and practical. As with the kitchen they do invest in the house and have a long term program of improvements, for their much loved second home. However as careful environmentalists they adhere to the 'if it isn't broken, don't fix it' philosophy. The matter has been discussed at length with the owners though and they will bear your thoughts in mind. We will also pass on your comments about the spotless housekeeping to Sue, who we are very grateful for. Many thanks for taking the time to write a review, it is much appreciated and we are glad everyone has a forum for which to offer constructive criticism, as without this we would not necessarily know what our guests want specifically.   Lovely house, clean and tidy, fresh flowers and a bottle of wine on arrival. Fab location, 10 min walk to town and 5 min to beach. Great that there's a garden, terrace and parking. Would stay again for sure.
