Summary

Built into the quayside in the heart of the much-loved Packet Quays development in Falmouth, Janes Court 6 overlooks the harbour blissfully. At high tide the water laps against stone and the view of the water changes as the day unfolds, with each passing moment revealing something new and exciting to behold.

Spread out on the patio with your morning coffee and sit back and take in the sunrise over the harbour. Watch how the activity slowly builds below on the water, along with your excitement for the day ahead. And look no further for inspiration as the St Mawes ferry chugs into the pier, or a sailing boat tacks across the river.

After a slow, sumptuous breakfast, head up the stone stairs, through an opeway, and out onto the Old High Street. From here you can explore all of Falmouth’s many delights with ease. The old cobbled streets are like invitations waiting to be accepted, and you’ll catch glimpses of the harbour between old buildings as you go.

Laid out over two floors, Janes court 6 has an open-plan living and dining area, with large patio doors leading out to a stone balcony. Comfortably appointed, the double bedroom faces out towards a stone courtyard while the twin bedroom enjoys spectacular harbour views.

As you drift up to bed and off to sleep, allow the sound of the waves gently hugging the stone below to lull you into dreams of the waterside adventures to come.

From Janes Court 6, the best of Falmouth is right before you. Park your car when you arrive and continue your Cornish escape on foot. Head down the hill towards The Prince of Wales pier and hop aboard a ferry heading up the River Fal to Truro, or across the harbour to beautiful St Mawes.

Browse the unique shops in the Old High Street and feast on Cornish produce in award-winning restaurants located just a short walk away. Or even better, time your visit with one of Falmouth’s many celebrations throughout the year, such as Falmouth Week or the International Sea Shanty Festival, as Janes Court 6 is the ideal place to stay to enjoy the buzz of life on the ocean as it resonates over the harbour.

You’re never far from a beach in Cornwall, and Falmouth has some of the best. Pack your swimming costume and make the most of the sea. After all, life just feels better with sand in your toes and salt in your hair. To enjoy some of the best views, though, we recommend taking time to head off the beaten track.

Stride out on the South West Coast Path from Falmouth to Helford Passage, passing rolling fields and subtropical gardens and marvelling at the ocean vista as you go. Then, at the path’s end, a warm welcome awaits at Ferryboat Inn – the perfect spot to rest with a local ale or a refreshing G&T before tackling the return journey home.

- October 2024

This is the second time in Janes Court 6, I has been updated beautifully since our last visit, my wife was very impressed. Unfortunately the visit was marred by small problems, The heating was set very low and on arrival it was very cold (first week in October), plus when the heating was set correctly, several radiators did not work. The dishwasher soap dispenser was faulty, the detergent just fell out. I had no problem with the beds we used but my wife who suffers from fibromyalgia found her bed much to firm.
