Summary

A summer haven and a winter hideaway, this wonderful retreat for four beckons families and friends to savour sea views and discover Falmouth’s collection of stand-out eateries, independent shops and picture-perfect beaches.

Tall Ships’ nautical chic interiors offer somewhere comfortable to unwind and spend warm nights after adventurous days outdoors beside the coast, while its elevated position offers vistas out over the changing landscape and the third deepest natural harbour in the world. A Juliet balcony in the expansive living area overlooks a tranquil courtyard that leads to the glistening water beyond, while the kitchen window frames the Royal Cornwall Yacht Club.

Ascend a spiral staircase to unveil the ultimate relaxation sanctuary – a sun-drenched, glass-encased reading room and rooftop terrace offering sweeping, panoramic vistas of Falmouth harbour. Watch the sunrise kiss the banks of Trefussis as the early morning light travels down the tips of masts to shimmer on the yacht-dotted harbour. Dine on a breakfast of pastries fresh from the oven from nearby Stones Bakery before catching the ferry boat over to the neighbouring town of Flushing and looking back out towards your holiday home nestled above the colourful town.

The modern kitchen and breakfast nook comes fully equipped, ensuring that favourite home recipes can be rustled up in a flash using fresh ingredients from nearby farmer’s markets. Seekers of easy living would be forgiven for dining out every night, as nearby culinary stars such as Restaurant Mine, Amanzi, Dakuu and IndiDog offer endless opportunities to sit back and let local chefs take the lead and where seasonal produce is always at the fore of their menus.

The open-plan living/dining room is inviting and spacious. Enjoy the light streaming in through the Juliette balcony doors which celebrate the unparalleled setting; throw them open wide to let in the sea breeze and dine to the soundtrack of the ocean. Comfort can be found in the large, sinkable sofa which is the perfect place to spread out while you play a treasured flick or curl up to read a holiday novel.

Beyond this second-floor, duplex apartment, set in the famous Admiral’s Quay development, Falmouth’s windy bunting-decorated lanes await discovery. For seaside adventures head through the high street towards Gylly Beach or stroll past the docks to Pendennis Castle at low tide to visit the secluded and often empty Explorer’s Cove for a dip. Bound along the South West Coastal Path and get to know Cornwall’s wildlife and subtropical flora. Indulge in Cornish fare; buttery steak-filled pasties, sweet clotted cream ice cream and beer-battered fish and chips. Learn more about the town’s historic past on Falmouth Uncovered’s walking tour and delve deeper into the county’s maritime heritage at the National Maritime Museum. With every Falmouth experience at your fingertips, Tall Ships invites guests to live like a local and soak in all that this creative harbour town has to offer.

EV Charger: Download the app and charge your electric car at cost. Type 2 socket.

Pets: Unfortunately, this holiday home is unable to welcome pets.
