Here you will be a short drive away from the Helford River – an Outstanding Area of Natural Beauty with ancient forests, waterside pubs and charming estuaries that were once frequented by pirates and smugglers and hold the inspiration behind Daphne du Maurier Frenchman’s Creek novel.
With a creative heart and an enviable calendar of events, Falmouth is the place for culture in Cornwall. From The Falmouth Oyster Festival on Discovery Quay to the International Sea Shanty Festival each June.

Artists will be spoilt for choice when it comes to galleries to browse and workshops to experience. Potager Garden lies under a 20-minute drive away from Tall Ships and hosts a varied annual programme. Across the road from the property, Inspire Makers – a creative space showcasing the talent of over 50 Cornish design-led arts, makers and craftspeople – offers a long list of kitchen table workshops throughout the year.
With the South West Coastal Path close to hand, walkers will find happiness in this central hideaway and foodies will rejoice at the large choice of standout eateries on their doorstep. Those who come to Cornwall to swim in the ocean will have plenty of opportunity here, Tall Ships’ closest swim spot lies a five minute walk from the front door and Blue Flag Gylly Beach, which sits a 25-minute walk through Falmouth town – has sheltered waters that can help fresh swimmers gain confidence and enjoy time in the water.

EV Charger: Download the app and charge your electric car at cost. Type 2 socket.
Pets: Unfortunately, this holiday home is unable to welcome pets.
Access: The apartment is unsuitable for children 10 or under, or those with impaired vision, or mobility issues. There are two flights of stairs up to the apartment from the ground floor level, (28 steps), or four flights from the parking area (with 60 steps). Inside the apartment are a further flight of narrow, spiral stairs up to the reading room and balcony. Furthermore, the Packet Quay’s development is at the hilly end of Falmouth and to get down into the town requires a steep hill and a long flight of steps.
Children: Children 10 or over are welcome at Tall Ships, however, please be mindful that this is a quiet residential development and there is no outside play space, nor should children ever be left unattended on the third floor balcony area, from which there is a long drop.
