Location and Surrounding Area

Port Navas is a small village at the head of Port Navas Creek on the north side of the Helford River, 2 miles from both Constantine and Mawnan Smith near Falmouth.

The apartment is situated on the quay originally used for shipping out granite stone. The area is now a peaceful haven with wooded shores and many local walks, within the North Helford conservation area and many lovely, safe, sandy beaches within ten to fifteen minutes drive. The Budock Vean Hotel with its 9 hole golf course, private swimming pool and restaurant open to non-residents, is five minutes away by car.

Port Navas Yacht Club is your local watering hole. This little gem on the edge of Port Navas creek serves great food and drink but booking a table in the restaurant ahead is almost always necessary – email nigel@pnyc.co.uk or leave a message on 01326 340065.  For opening times and more information http://pnyc.co.uk/bar-restaurant/ .  Dogs and children welcome.

Cottages and holiday homes on Port Navas Creek

Sailing facilities on the beautiful Helford River are among the finest in England.

With boats and moorings available for hire locally, this is an ideal base from which to explore the area. For boat moorings/berths in Port Navas contact Tom on 01326 340525. The creek itself dries for about two hours either side of low tide.

Falmouth is only six miles away and this interesting old town has retained the charm of an old fishing port and offers good shopping facilities, restaurants and traditional Cornish pubs.

There are several beautiful sub tropical gardens nearby and ample opportunity for picturesque, waterside walks.

We go to upper deck every year and we love it! It’s the most relaxing place with incredible views and it’s a hive of activity being so close to the yacht club.

Memory Wall

Sue, staying at Upper Deck

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Upper Deck, the ability to launch a kayak from the jetty below the apartment and paddle up the Helford River was just amazing. I took this photo one calm evening on the opposite side of the creek, looking towards Quay House. We hope to return to this beautiful, peaceful spot. You can sit all day just watching the changing scene of the tidal creek, it is so relaxing. Thank you Cornish Holidays. Sue, John, Francesca and Kate.
