Falmouth’s Castle Beach is tucked away beneath Pendennis Point. With little sandy nooks to shelter in, clear water, and a lovely little cafe and loo – this is a great option for a day spent beachside in Falmouth.
Facing perfectly south, this beach stays sunny for most of the day.
Access is via a set of granite stone steps, so those unsteady on their feet may wish to pay a visit to nearby Gyllyngvase Beach instead.
At high tide, this beach is lovely for swimming, and when the tide retreats brilliant rock pools are revealed. The rocks stretch out as far as the eye can see, and the pools contain all sorts of sea creatures to discover.
