Kona

Located in the heart of Events Square in Falmouth, Kona is a Hawaiian-inspired eatery offering delicious poké bowls, house dahl and Cornish plates. Inspired by surf trips to Hawaii, poké (poh-key) bowls are their house speciality. 

Kona is inspired by the place itself – Kailua-Kona is a small town on the west coast of the big island of Hawaii in the Pacific ocean. The island-style of living is something that inspired their vision for Kona, and the owners have created a laid-back atmosphere combined with easy-drinking sunshine beers, relaxed tunes, and healthy eating. 

They are passionate about the best tasting beer and cocktails, authentic poké bowls and relaxed music-filled vibes. Treat yourself to one of their healthy and vibrant bowls accompanied by their house DJs. If you’re heading to the beach, you can still enjoy the Kona experience by grabbing a take out and a growler of fresh beer.

Kona Bar is open throughout the week to diners and their dogs, and hosts live music events with plenty of outdoor seating – the perfect place for Friday night cocktails and food!

Their poké bowl options include shoyu dressed warm rice with edamame beans, Asian veg, avocado, mango, cherry tomatoes, pink ginger & topped with nori, sesame & rice wine dressing, all served with a vegan coconut & wasabi yoghurt. Add to your bowl with toppings such as smoked teriyaki tofu, Szechuan chilli steak or sashimi tuna. If you’re after something other than poké their roasted aubergine & beetroot dahl served with basmati rice and toasted flatbread is a real treat.
