Conveniently located moments away from St Mawes Ferry in the centre of Falmouth, Restaurant Four serves honest fare which takes full advantage of the county’s abundance of fresh, local produce. The menu boasts inventive dishes as well as flavoursome and honest tastes.
Run by family man and head chef, Matthew Uwin-Springett, Restaurant Four was the realisation of Matthew’s life-long dream to open his very own restaurant. Having worked his way up from an eager pot-wash at the tender age of 15 and perfecting his craft, he now invites diners to come along and share his passion for flavoursome food, sampling the culinary delights he meticulously crafts. He mentions that he and his wife, Ceri, wish all of their guests to enjoy their time at Restaurant Four, whether it’s for a quick lunch to hide away from the rain, a celebration for a special occasion or a long-lingering evening meal with your loved ones. They adore being at the front-of-house to make sure everyone is comfortable and are free to enjoy the ambience and food.
As well as the daily menu, Restaurant Four also hosts belly-warming Sunday roasts and celebrates a number of special occasions throughout the year with bespoke menus, including Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.
With varying opening hours throughout the week, you can look forward to lunches and dinners bursting with flavour. For a sneak peek, you can also book yourself a table at one of the restaurant’s taster sessions, held every month.
Mains include contemporary takes on freshly-caught fish, game and tender cuts of locally-farmed meats served in new and innovative ways with a style and dedication to detail that is hard to emulate. There are always vegetarian options available and the restaurant is happy to cater for all dietary requirements.
