Anthea, staying at Little Nest
Mycroft's memories... We three enjoyed the most wonderful holiday at Little Nest.

The Little Nest is without a doubt the most chosen one-bedroom holiday home in the Cornish Holiday Cottages portfolio. Our very own Superhost is integral to this popularity. They reside in the adjacent house ‘The Nest’ and will ensure that all is sparkling clean and warm and welcoming for your arrival.
This purpose-built holiday home is situated in an elevated position, above the golden sands of Maenporth Beach and just a few feet from the southwest coastal path, where you will enjoy breath-taking sea views, quiet coves and incredible scenery.
Maenporth Beach and its café are a great source of crab rolls, hot drinks and ice-creams. For fine dining, The Cove Restaurant is less than 300m away. In March 2020 The Cove opened under the new ownership of the renowned Michael Caines. You may find yourself on their decking with a sundowner G&T more than once!
Back at the Little Nest you have two outside seating areas on either side of the accommodation giving you ample opportunity for enjoying those warm, sunny days and relaxing with that book you’ve been longing to read.
No stone has been left unturned when it comes to guest comfort in this charming holiday home. So dig out your walking boots, your swimwear and treat yourself and your favourite, (human, canine, or both) to a getaway at this south Cornwall slice of heaven.
Electronic vehicle gates from Maenporth Road open onto (fairly steep but short – no more than 25 metres) drive. Parking for one car on hard standing area at the bottom of the external staircase. A dozen wooden steps leads to the first floor level. Small gate opening onto large deck and front door to
a good sized open plan room with well equipped, modern, fitted kitchen and breakfast bar with two chairs. Electric oven, four ring ceramic hob, built in microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge with ice box. The sitting area with generous, comfortable seating and 32″ flat screen Panasonic LCD T.V. with Freesat and separate D.V.D. player. This room enjoys lovely views, through the french doors, over the garden to the beach beyond. The french doors open onto a balcony with contemporary cedar wood and glass balustrade.
with king size (5ft) bed, bedside tables, lamps and ample built-in clothes storage.
with large shower cubicle, hand basin, wc and heated towel rail.
the large sunny deck, with picnic bench, at the rear of the property has
wonderful sea views to the headland beyond. The front balcony with table and two chairs enjoys views through the trees to the beach and sea. The beauty of having
two sitting out areas on either side of the building is that it affords you more time outside when the weather is favourable. Guests are most welcome to use the garden seating area too, with its lovely view out to Falmouth Bay.
On the south side of the beach, The Little Nest resides in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Just less than two hundred metres away is the acclaimed Cove Restaurant and Bar, known for its award winning chef, great service and avant-garde menu.
Mawnan Smith village (with post office, general stores, The Red Lion Inn, Awna Coffee House and the Oystercatcher gift shop) is just 1.5 miles.
For a good range of coffee shops, independent stores, delis and restaurants, Falmouth town is 3.5 miles and Truro is 12 miles.
The Helford River renowned for it’s safe sheltered waters is close by and there are many good beaches all around with Maenporth beach on the doorstep. Durgan is approximately 2 miles away on the Helford River and well worth a visit, as are the beautiful gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah nearby.
There is an 18 hole golf course in Falmouth and a 9 hole golf course at the Budock Vean Hotel (approx. 2 miles), as well as spa facilities, an indoor swimming pool and restaurant, all open to non-residents.

Little Nest is the perfect place for a holiday, especially if you love the Cornish coast and countryside which surrounds this property! You look down to a beautiful beach from the lounge and balcony at the front and from the kitchen and decking at the rear of the apartment you enjoy a wonderful green landscape providing the best of nature. And, that’s all enclosed in a stunning private garden. The owner is always available should you need anything and always offers a very warm welcome to the spacious but cosy holiday home.
