Rhian, Staying at Bay View
Taken just down the hill from the apartment, standing on the cliff top looking across the bay.

You will realise why we think this one is so special when you wind your way up the hill from Maenporth Beach and arrive at this dreamy dwelling, set in an elevated position, overlooking beautiful Maenporth bay.
Be led (by lift or stairs) up to the two bedroom penthouse apartment where the inside space is an inviting setup of comfortable seating, high vaulted ceilings, soft textures, wooden touches and under floor heating.
Stylishly designed, clever colour palettes and statement art pieces catch your eye in every room. Subtle maritime touches such as silvery fish sculptures and nautical-inspired paintings will remind you of your seaside location.
The standout feature is the open-concept living space, where natural light floods in from double-height windows and skylights, and the generous floor plan creates a welcoming vibe for guests to unwind and spend time together.
Nestle into the comfortable seating to enjoy a choice aperitif before cooking up a storm in the granite-topped kitchen and gathering around the bench-seating dining table to share fun times with your nearest and dearest. Bay View is an idyllic holiday retreat for a family or a couple seeking space to spread out.
Let the morning light, which reflects off the sea and shimmers into the spacious living area, be your natural wake-up call. Begin your day with coffee – or end it with a sun downer tipple – on the balcony, where you can savour salty sea air and drink in the constantly changing landscape. Here, green rolling green fields give way to tree-bordered coastal paths, distant Tudor castles, and the call of the ocean.
Lace up your walking boots for a coastal path stomp, which lies across the field from the property, through fields and along waterways of the Helford River to Rosemullion Head. When the sea lures you in, the sheltered cove of Maenporth, just a short stroll down the field, will award you with a superb location for dawn dips and decadent hot chocolates and Cornish ice creams from the ‘Life’s a Beach’ cafe. Shallow tides and teaming rockpools populate the waters with magical marine life. Dive, bob, and swim to your heart’s content in the (most often), crystal clear waters.
We recommend hiring stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and surfboards from Falmouth Surf School who are located on Maenporth beach and also provide lessons for beginner and improving surfers.
With its nearby fishing scene, you can only imagine the culinary delights that await at nearby Falmouth town’s eateries. If you’re seeking something closer to hand, The Cove is a five-minute stroll away. This relaxed coastal eatery takes full advantage of its spectacular location with its spacious and heated terrace which allows guests the luxury to dine al-fresco all year round and share a glass of bubbly while overlooking the golden, long stretch of sand and turquoise water.
Bay View is a coastal retreat that provides a blissful break for walkers, foodies, beach lovers, water-sport enthusiasts, and those seeking a base from which to explore south Cornwall.

The apartment was very high quality. The bed was very comfortable. There were a few slight issues but nothing that spoilt the stay or inconvenienced us. The lift was not working when we arrived. This would be an issue for anyone who had trouble with steps.

For those with an electric vehicle, SWARCO E Connect have been installing charging points in several car parks in Falmouth, including: Town Quarry Car Park, Grove Place Car Park, The Dell Car Park and Gyllyngvase Long Stay Car Park. We recommend downloading the SWARCO app before your visit as this allows you to see the type and location of the point available, plus set up a direct debit as not all stations have a credit card or RFID facility.
