The popular Port Navas Regatta has been held on the Quay for more than one hundred years, having been first held in August 1914.
In the early years, the Regatta was very much for local people, and the boys and men employed on the water and at the Oyster Farm played a big part in the competitions.
These days this is a fun event for adults and children with games, BBQ, a bar, tea tent and many other attractions. The regatta side of things is for experienced and novice water lovers and is a wonderful, highly popular family event with races and competitions on and off the water. The water events include rowing, mixed age and fun races and swimming, with boats provided if necessary.
Each year the event raises thousands of pounds for charities such as Air Ambulance, Cornwall Hospice Care and the RNLI.
