The Heron Inn

The Heron Inn is a beautiful riverside gastro pub on the outskirts of Truro, overlooking the River Fal and the Truro and Tresillian river. The stunning views over the estuary can be appreciated while sitting on their terrace with a glass of wine in hand and a hearty pub lunch.

Serving freshly prepared, locally sourced food, The Heron Inn has established a reputation as one of the best places to enjoy the natural surroundings whilst indulging in finely cooked food. 

The pub is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty with breathtaking views of the rivers and surrounding hills which are covered in colourful trees and foliage. From the village, there are a number of picturesque walks which can be enjoyed before or after a filling, locally sourced dish.

Malpas is the perfect quick and easy escape from the hustle and bustle of Truro centre. They allow dogs throughout the pub and there are 5 to 6 specials every day, and Cornish crab is always on the menu. Expect dishes such as truffled wild mushroom mac n cheese, moules and fries, wholetail scampi and Malpas Ploughman’s.
